Consigning with Taylor Phoenix & Company

So what I've been hearing from a lot of people is, "how do I do it?" I realize for some of us TPC is a very new concept. The idea that we can actually get more than a tax write-off on our clothing is as much a new concept as LYFT and Airbnb. I created this business because I saw it as a way for plus-size women to have their own consignment space where extended sizes were carried and embraced and where you could do a little something for the environment by up-cycling.

So, without further ado, here are the steps for consigning with Taylor Phoenix & Company, and please forgive me for not making this clear before now.
  1. Go through your closet and determine what pre-owned/new garments and accessories fit within our acceptance category. Be mindful of what you, yourself would purchase from a consignment store and make sure that each garment, accessory, etc. is clean and in excellent condition. We have a focus on designer clothing and accessories. A list of what TPC does not accept can be found here on our How it Work's page.
  2. Once you've figured that stuff out, take a moment to complete our Consignee Agreement. This form allows us to know you are interested and ready to sell and we will do what is necessary to activate your account and get you ready to go. Note: If you happen to visit the wardrobe log-in page and create an account, it will not be activated until we have received this form with all boxes check.
  3. Start staging, and photographing your stuff! You can find some great guidelines for pictures on our Consigning your Merchandise page. Make sure your garment is placed on a white plain background, so that it doesn't take away from the color/pattern of your item.
  4. Your vendor account should be active Now! So log-in into your wardrobe from the home page of TPC and start entering your wardrobe inventory. Please include a description of the fit, measurement of the pants (in case someone is petite or tall), along with the price you intended to receive from the buyer. Another note: please remember that your take home from all sales is 75% of the purchase price, unless there is a special on commission.
  5. We approve and post all pictures on to the site within 24-48 hours and voila you're consigning! When your item sells, you receive notification to ship and your buyer receives their sweet purchase in the mail.
  6. Send us the tracking number and we transfer payment to you via paypal. That's it. Easy-peasy my friend!
I hope these steps help you better understand how TPC works. Be sure to read all the content on our website under How It Works and Don't be shy ASK US QUESTIONS if you need help!

Happy Consigning!
